Dentures are meant to replace a complete set of teeth. It could be either the upper arch or the lower arch or the whole thing. For those people that do need those or maybe have an old set that they want to replace, the way we do it now, it’s digital so we can actually scan everything without the messy impressions.
Set it off. We have shade tabs that show all the colors, shapes, sizes. You bring an old picture in and we make it look like the smile you want it to look like.
The way it helps out is it allows you to taste food better, to be able to eat food better, to feel more confident in your smile. The benefits of wearing dentures is that you have teeth opposing each other. If you don’t have teeth in there, the jaws kind of free float.
You lose more bone faster but also your jaw starts bothering you because it’s kind of like having a door that doesn’t have a stop to it. It just swings past it and then the hinges get loose and the door comes off. So using that analogy, it’s important to have dentures for jaw function and for whole body function.
